Wock-Oliver’s Filter Presses are used for the purpose of dewatering sludge and slurry produced in wastewater treatment, and chemical and mineral processing. Most wastewater treatment processes will produce sludge or slurry that is commonly disposed as a liquid waste. This sludge or slurry can be dehydrated in an Wock-Oliver’s Filter Press via a method called sludge dewatering. By using an Wock-Oliver’s Filter Press a reduction of up to 90% sludge volume can be achieved.
In most instances the sludge or slurry is conditioned with polyelectrolyte and then dewater in an Wock-Oliver’s Filter Press to produce a solid dry filter cake.
